Pedal Your Mettle

Fostering confidence in your way of life is a great quality to possess. It is not just about having fleeting moments to prompt yourself that you can accomplish something. Doing this on a sporadic basis can render one incapable of decisive thoughts and with more self-doubts. It should be an ingrained daily mentality to remind yourself of the affirmation of, “I WILL have a good day today” rather than “I hope to have a good day today.” It is your persona who controls this narrative and in doing so, produces not only tangible success but also a wholesome piece of mind.

Capture each day with a poised frame of mind as if you are reading a captivating book. Continue to turn the pages one by one and be inspired to finish with a riveting ending. Repeat this routine consistently with the belief in yourself that you can (not if you can) produce good happenings which will yield great dividends.

I also believe holding the feeling of self-assurance in one’s abilities opens doors that may be deemed unobtainable. How would you know of the payoff if you do not try? Even if it is trial and error, focusing on producing the best result possible will boost your confidence to a greater level. If the outcome is successful, then you have a winner. If not, do not consider it a failure but instead absorb it purely as a stirring platform to tackle with zest the next item that comes your way. Patience and logical thinking are required to leap forward but second-guessing if you have the confident drive to accomplish your goal(s) may garner regret later.

So never allow an individual to say that you cannot achieve what is on your mind. This remark should not be in anyone’s demeanor to accept because confidence is a pivotal trait to build on to succeed in all things viable. Stay steady in executing this favorable life ingredient as the rewards will continue to unfold beautifully.

Born in Saigon, Vietnam, I arrived in America at seven years old as a war refugee in 1975. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy, happily married with two grown children, and I reside in Colorado. A horrific injury in 2014 forever altered the course of my life, leaving me an incomplete quadriplegic. Yet even through this unexpected journey, I have learned that living fully in the present can remain fruitful, joyous, and deeply meaningful. To be human is to show kindness to one another. Let go of fear, prejudice, and desire, and awaken to each moment with gratitude for the profound gift of life. Turn to the people beside you and all around you, and project your inner being outward—be good to yourself and to others. We are all woven from the same fabric; may we surround one another with unconditional love, support, and warmth of heart. Our time on Earth is precious and deserves to be embraced with immense gratitude. Visit our PT practice at manualtherapyassociates.com
