Liquid Poetry: Indomitable Soul

Love who you are, define your purpose, strengths
A patient tree bears lasting fruits, beauty to amaze
Stay the course for success, to derail is to fail
Everything you do matters, none are left to fade

Positive thoughts attract good outcomes
Whatever unfolds will forever shine happiness
Permeate in its clear deluge, be thankful for
Stay deeply enthused, satisfying rewards to come

Be a problem solver, not a chronic complainer
Tackling an obstacle is creating due resolve
Avoid ever sulking, an emotion most unworthy
Effort drives certainty, a light left aglow

Put yourself in others’ shoes to understand
Have compassion, mindfully exist without conditions
Ignite your beacon of support, a painless feat
Doing so blooms the divine dance of mutual returns

Project unwavering love, an emotion of caring
Instill inner passion, for it rules rejection
Do not wander, quiet your mind, feel the comfort
Life is impermanent, be flexible, cherish its gifts

A determined mind is pure, not a drop wasted
Channel your timely intentions, leave no doubts
A strong will has no boundaries, an expanse of might
Run with conviction, cards of value are in your hands

Never question yourself, belief is all powerful
Be persevering and resilient, a guiding sage to have
Elevate your being with zeal no one can deny
Part the clouds to soundly arrive, behold the gem

Become a steward of change, it starts with you
Whatever arrives, turn on the roaring engine
Engage, make it happen, valor unabridged
A true self you can achieve, be real, be whole

Born in Saigon, Vietnam, I arrived in America at seven years old as a war refugee in 1975. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy, happily married with two grown children, and I reside in Colorado. A horrific injury in 2014 forever altered the course of my life, leaving me an incomplete quadriplegic. Yet even through this unexpected journey, I have learned that living fully in the present can remain fruitful, joyous, and deeply meaningful. To be human is to show kindness to one another. Let go of fear, prejudice, and desire, and awaken to each moment with gratitude for the profound gift of life. Turn to the people beside you and all around you, and project your inner being outward—be good to yourself and to others. We are all woven from the same fabric; may we surround one another with unconditional love, support, and warmth of heart. Our time on Earth is precious and deserves to be embraced with immense gratitude. Visit our PT practice at manualtherapyassociates.com
