Liquid Poetry: For Andréa & Nakota

The stars have aligned, clear and radiant
Behold the purpose, forever it will be
Your journey as one unfolds, a rhyme so beautiful
Face to face, a togetherness like no other

Holding hands is not trivial, never passive
A connection of love it shows, endless to eternity
A flow of vitality without conditions
Repeat daily without pause, with empathy

Peaks and valleys, readiness to face is key
Be in each other’s presence, a precious jewel
Unlimited support are ties that bind
Stay sound in spirit, all will be well

Exercise the essence of team, not in isolation
It is not you or me, what matters is us
An understanding mind fosters an open mind
A life in total unison, great success prevails

Share tender surrender moments, a feat effortless
Enjoy their gravity, cherish them all
For they are momentous, of everlasting value
Beloved soulmates bring balance, rarefied living

Embark on the greatest path of your life
The fabric has been woven and tested
Be steady, stay true, stay loving
An amazing pair you will always be

Born in Saigon, Vietnam, I arrived in America at seven years old as a war refugee in 1975. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy, happily married with two grown children, and I reside in Colorado. A horrific injury in 2014 forever altered the course of my life, leaving me an incomplete quadriplegic. Yet even through this unexpected journey, I have learned that living fully in the present can remain fruitful, joyous, and deeply meaningful. To be human is to show kindness to one another. Let go of fear, prejudice, and desire, and awaken to each moment with gratitude for the profound gift of life. Turn to the people beside you and all around you, and project your inner being outward—be good to yourself and to others. We are all woven from the same fabric; may we surround one another with unconditional love, support, and warmth of heart. Our time on Earth is precious and deserves to be embraced with immense gratitude. Visit our PT practice at manualtherapyassociates.com

The blessing of a father makes the world a better place, one child at a time. This poem is a blessing on Andrea and Nakota and supports the whole family. Thank you.
