Liquid Poetry: Our World, A Vital Embrace

The vitality of love is worldwide critical
Admire its value of living, of caring
Show kindness and respect, unreserved
Be there for one another, to help, to guide

To live right, live in pure harmony
A dearest connection for all to present
Paint your being with goodness, grace
There will be no toxin, no ill to feel

Open conversations are divine, tranquil
Absorb the moments, sincerity of words
Leave with wonder, bathed in blue skies
Return to the scene, beauty repeats

To disagree is human nature, a normalcy
Do it vacant of anger, a justified emotion
To overcome by fighting, a wasteful action
A warmhearted mind feeds mutual content

Ethnic diversity is grand, central to see
A confluence of minds, ideas to share
Pledge undivided attention, selfless in spirit
Let us all be a positive mirror without hatred

Much is at stake, be devoted to improve
Work in unison, not at each other’s expense
Leaving a trail of scars affects us all
Offer your mettle with affection, not war

Residing in full tension, sadness prevails
Tear down all walls, a call for humankind
Give without taking, we exist with aliveness
Impart care for yourself, forward to the masses

The world needs each other, be loving threads
Nurture a forgiving planet, strive we must
A pivotal survival hangs in the balance
Coexist with dignity, shore to shore peace

Born in Saigon, Vietnam, I arrived in America at seven years old as a war refugee in 1975. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy, happily married with two grown children, and I reside in Colorado. A horrific injury in 2014 forever altered the course of my life, leaving me an incomplete quadriplegic. Yet even through this unexpected journey, I have learned that living fully in the present can remain fruitful, joyous, and deeply meaningful. To be human is to show kindness to one another. Let go of fear, prejudice, and desire, and awaken to each moment with gratitude for the profound gift of life. Turn to the people beside you and all around you, and project your inner being outward—be good to yourself and to others. We are all woven from the same fabric; may we surround one another with unconditional love, support, and warmth of heart. Our time on Earth is precious and deserves to be embraced with immense gratitude. Visit our PT practice at manualtherapyassociates.com
